Picture it. It will amuse you.
Staff meeting. Friday morning. Board room. Five people. The temperature a comfortable 25. The morning coffee swirling through my veins. My foot in mouth syndrome acts up again.
In our weekly staff meetings we always go around the table, give updates about what we’re working on and bring things forward for discussion. Well, this morning’s topic of discussion was the Robot Convention next week at the College. Yes, high school aged techy geeks spinning brilliance of robot tales and discoveries will take place. One of the activities in the program is called “Floor Play”. Stop.
Now I don’t know about you, but I’m nearing 27, single and try to keep a clean mind! But this morning, my first thought on mention of this fun activity….well, I’ll let you think on that one.
You can imagine the heat running through my body in embarassment as my boss laughs and says “And we thought you were the innocent one!” My only retort was “You guys didn’t think that?!” A good howl at the office on my expense…again. Glad to cause some laughter.
However, my request is next time it not involve something I am so unfamiliar with!
